SKBBSS’s Vidya Mandir CBSE School, Sedam, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and environmental awareness. The programme began with a floral tribute and portrait pooja, followed by the planting of a sapling by the Chief Guest, Ms. Amulya Ashok Patil, symbolizing the importance of nurturing and protecting nature.
The event commenced with a prayer, followed by the prize distribution ceremony for various competitions conducted on 4th June 2026 in connection with World Environment Day.
The competitions included:
- Grades 1 & 2: Drawing Competition
- Grades 3 & 4: Leaf Art Competition
- Grades 5 to 7: Creative Art Competition
- Grades 8 to 10: Debate Competition
- Teachers: Creative Art Competition
The Principal delivered the introductory speech, highlighting the significance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. The Chief Guest, Ms. Amulya Ashok Patil, shared her valuable experiences and insights into agriculture, inspiring students to appreciate nature and understand its vital role in sustaining life.
Mrs. Kavita, Computer Teacher, along with Kum. Annarao (Grade 8) and Kum. Prashanth (Grade 5), delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment and adopting eco-friendly practices in daily life. The programme was gracefully anchored by Kum. Poorvika of Grade 8, who conducted the event with confidence and enthusiasm.
The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment from students and staff to work towards a greener, cleaner, and healthier planet, reflecting the true spirit of World Environment Day. 🌱🌍
