SKBBSS’s Vidya Mandir CBSE School, Sedam celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2026 with great enthusiasm and scientific spirit. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of science in daily life and to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Venkatesh Teeneti, Mathematics Teacher, Adarsh Vidyalaya School, Biballi. The programme began with a portrait pooja offered by the Chief Guest, followed by an introductory speech by the Principal, Mrs. Shobharani Patil, who highlighted the significance of National Science Day.
Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest to the winners of various competitions conducted on the occasion of National Science Day. This was followed by the guest’s inspiring speech, in which he explained how the Raman Effect was discovered and its importance in the field of science.
Mrs. Parvathi, Science Teacher, and students also delivered speeches emphasizing the role of science in nation-building. Mrs. Veena administered the Science Day pledge. Ratnashree of Grade 8 confidently anchored the event.
A special attraction of the programme was the pre-primary children, who beautifully portrayed different scientists, adding charm and creativity to the celebration.
